• On the glass — You hear what TV never gives you: skate blades cutting the ice, the chirps between whistles, a slapshot hitting your glass like a gunshot. Nothing between you and the game.

• The TV side of the rink — The broadcast cameras shoot from across the ice, pointed at this side all night. Whenever the play is at this end, these seats are in the picture. Your friends will spot you before the first intermission.

• They’ve sat everywhere, and they choose here — Longtime regulars who’ve watched games from great seats all over this building, still ask for these two first. The aisle, the glass, the end Detroit attacks twice: some people decide this is the perfect seat and never leave.

• One pair, two seats — Side by side on the glass, at the end the Wings attack twice a night. When they’re gone for a game, they’re gone.
